Larry Mac McLeod Sr.

Larry Mac McLeod Sr., 64, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bruce Green and the Rev. James A. Mock Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. McLeod was born Jan. 10, 1937. He married Nelda Leatherman on Oct. 24, 1957, in Lovington, N.M. He was a veteran and served in the Army. He was a stockman in the horse, cattle and sheep business.

He had lived in Plainview since 1998, coming from Amarillo. He was a Baptist and a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Plainview. He was a member of National Cutting Horse Association and American Border Collie Association.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rock McLeod; his mother, Sybil Wilson; and two sons, David Robert McLeod and Jeffery Paul McLeod.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Mac McLeod Jr. and wife, Shelly Tru, of Depew, Okla.; a grandson, Toya Shea McLeod and wife, Melissa, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Stormie Morgan McLeod of Denton; and his mother-in-law, Charlotte Leatherman of Plainview.

The family suggests memorials be to Leukemia Foundation.
