Funeral services for Harry Charles McLaurin, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mr. McLaurin died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb, 3, 1998, at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1926, in Plainview where he lived all his life. He worked for Bryan-Hoffman Construction until 1965 when he opened Harry?s Glass and Body Shop. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On Dec. 2, 1944, he married Earnest Mae Fields in Plainview. She died Dec. 21, 1997.
Survivors include one son, Charles McLaurin of Lubbock; one daughter, Connie Davis of Plainview; two sisters, Elaine Pinkerton of Dallas and Mary Sue Bartlett of Safford, Ariz.; one brother, Milton D. McLaurin of Plainview; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Three brothers are deceased.
