McKnight, Joe
Graveside services for Joe McKnight, 53, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Ewing, pastor of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Amarillo and the Rev. Robert Allen, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. McKnight died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, in University Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1944, in Memphis where he grew up. He attended schools in Lakeview, Stinnett and Olton and graduated from Olton High School. He attended Howard Payne University for four years. He moved to Plainview and worked for Lilly Cooling Towers for 20 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Murel McKnight of Plainview.
His father E.J. McKnight died on July 1, 1984 and a sister Deanna McKnight, died on June 6, 1994.
The family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
