Funeral services for Ross Dean McKinney, 79, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. A.C. Hamilton, retired Baptist minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mr. McKinney died at 11:56 p.m. Sunday, Sept, 24, 2000, in Covenant Hospital.
He was born Dec. 25, 1920, in Lockney. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and after his discarge in 1946 he worked for W.T. Cain Motor Co., as a mechanic and then for Maggard-Nall Motor Co. In 1952, he entered the dairy business east of Plainview, retiring in 1986.
On Jan. 19, 194, he married Margaret Louise Yarbrough in Plainview. She died Aug. 28, 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary McKinney of Plainview; a son, Ross McKinney of Laurel, Miss.; a brother, Ray McKinney of Cheyenne, Wyo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
