McGaugh, H.L. (Shorty)

Funeral services for H.L. ?Shorty? McGaugh, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Kevin Igo, a deacon at Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. McGaugh died at 5:07 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in Covenant Hospital Plainview.

He was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Plainview where he grew up. He farmed until 1970 then moved to Plainview and worked as a carpenter.

On May 12, 1945, he married Betty Jean Lyde in Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Rhonda Harrison of West Colombia; two sons, Ricky McGaugh of Lubbock and Reggy McGaugh of Montgomery; three brothers, Melvin McGaugh of Ralls and J.R. and J.D. McGaugh, both of Waldron, Ark.; two sisters, Ruth Callahan of Austin, and Louise Poppell of Augusta, GA.; and three grandchildren.
