Obituary

Graveside services for Elizabeth McFarland, 90, of Tecumseh, Okla., formerly of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Colquitt Nash, minister of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. McFarland died Sunday, April 23, 2006, in Unity Health Center in Tecumseh. She was born May 25, 1915, to Clabe Powell and Grace Meester Powell in Hale County. She married Jack McFarland on Sept. 17, 1938, in Lubbock. Later she worked at Marse & Son in Plainview as a seamstress in the alterations department. She was a longtime member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Thelma Crisp of Tecumseh, Okla.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband; three brothers, Jim Powell, Dudley Powell and Carl Powell; and one sister, Alberta Hugill, are deceased.
