Obituary

Opal Lee McCuaig Funeral services for Opal Lee Williams McCuaig, 85, of Plainview, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Garland Street Church of Christ under direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview. Officiating will be Russell Harris, minister of Garland Street Church of Christ. She went to Heaven on Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Mrs. McCuaig was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Chillicothe. She married Alton Williams on Jan. 8, 1938, in Chillicothe. He died Sept. 28, 1981. Then she married James McCuaig on Oct. 30, 1984 in Plainview. He died Feb. 15, 1994. She moved to Plainview in 1980 from Chillicothe. She was a homemaker and a member of Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview. She was a past member of the Ladies Bible Class at Garland Street Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Larry Lance of Plainview and Renea and Harlan Dizmang of Plainview; three grandchildren, DeeDee Herrera and husband, Richard, of Plainview; Shawn Lance and wife, Lanell, of Plainview; and Shanna Pugh of Dallas; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to West View Boys Home in care of Garland Street Church of Christ or to VistaCare Hospice in Plainview.
