Obituary

Funeral services for Travis Odell Mason, 69, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Weiss, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Mason died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, in Covenant Hospital. He was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Floydada, the son of Bludford Edgar and Dovie Laure Craig Mason. He grew up in Floydada where he attended schools. He attended the Baptist church. He served with the U.S. Army and then moved to Plainview where he farmed most of his life. Survivors include a daughter, Kandy Leininger of Oologah, Okla;. two sons, Rodger Dale Mason of Owenville, Mo., and Jimmy John Mason of Marietta, Okla.; one sister, Edna Mae Lutz of Plainview; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A sister, Thelma Ruth Lutz, died in 1994.
