Mason, David, Mrs. (Karen Elaine Brewer)

HALFWAY- Funeral services for Karen Elaine Mason, 46, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Stenberg of First United Methodist Church in Albany, and Dr. Paul Sadler of Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mason died at 9:57 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Amarillo.

She was born Nov. 7, 1957, in San Antonio. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from High School in 1976. She attended West Texas State University in Canyon and worked at a bank teller at Hale County State Bank for five years. She was a homemaker and helped her parents bookkeeper for their business, J.G. Brewer Rentals.

She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, active in Plainview Christian Academy for 12 years and Active in First Baptist Church in Halfway where she served as church secretary and was pianist for the past five years.

On April 17, 1976, she married David Mason in Plainview.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Karaleigh Mason of Denton; a son, Ryan David Mason of Plainview; her mother, Carolyn Brewer of Plainview; and a brother, Micheal Brewer of Bridgeport.

Her Father, Jesse Glen Brewer, died in 1999.

The family will receive friends at Lemons Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. They suggest memorials to Methodist Missions Home, 6487 Whitney Rd.
