Funeral services for Rudy "Monsta" Martinez, 30, of New Braunfels, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at New Life Church with the Rev. Steve Martinez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Rudy passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, in Plainview. Rudy was born on June 9, 1981, in Plainview, Texas. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. He enjoyed working on cars, and spending time with friends and family. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed making others laugh. Survivors include his two daughters, Angelica Breanna Pantoja of Plainview and Faith Marie Martinez of Midland; his mother, Inez Hernandez of Plainview; four brothers, Oscar and Mario Martinez, both of Americus, Ga., Manuel Hernandez of Plainview and Matthew Cantu of Plainview; five sisters, Deborah Martinez of Amarillo, Dorcas Reyes of Americus, Ga., and Corina Espinosa, Krystal Cantu and Esmeralda Cantu, all of Plainview.
