Obituary

Funeral Mass for Noe Martinez, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Guadalupe with the Rev. Reymundo Manriquez, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Martinez died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at his residence. He was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Villa Union, Mexico, the son of Juan Martinez and Petra Salas Martinez. He moved to Plainview in 1976 and worked for Edmonson Wheat Growers and Cargill Meat Solutions, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Alicia; three daughters, Patricia Sierra and Maria Elizabeth Martinez, both of Plainview, and Nora Martinez of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Noe Martinez Jr. of Midland and Jerry Martinez of Austin; two sisters, Elinda Martinez of Amarillo and Eudelia Armendares of Snyder; a brother, Enrique Martinez of Joliet, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Jessie Martinez and Willie Martinez, and a sister, Elsa Zamora, are deceased
