Obituary

Funeral services for Leonor Nunez Martinez, 75, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Santos Rodriquez officiating. A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Martinez died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at Prairie House Living Center. She was born Dec. 10, 1930, in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose Martinez and Eva Ortega Martinez. She married Eulalio Nunez in 1954 in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Iglesia Bautista Date Street Church. Survivors include three sons, Ruben Martinez, Alfredo Nunez and Eulalio Nunez Jr., all of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Margarita Castilleja of Plainview,and Maria del Pilar Nunez and Gracie Nunez, both of Sweetwater; two brothers, Ernesto Ortego and Eliazar Martinez, both of Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, one brother, Elpidio Ortega, and one sister, Susana Martinez, are deceased
