Martinez, Josefina

Funeral services for Josefina Martinez, 69, will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday in La Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Glen E. Godsey, associate director of the Caprock-Plains Baptist Area, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Calvillo, Bartley & Silva Funeral Directors.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Ruben Rodriguez as speaker.

Ms. Martinez died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 20, 1999, at her residence.

She was born June 17, 1929, in Ballinger. She moved to Plainview in 1952 from Ballinger and was a member of La Primera Iglesia Bautista.

Survivors include her mother, Concha Martinez of Plainview; six brothers, Alfonso Martinez, Calixto Martinez and Alfredo Martinez all of Plainview, Juan Martinez of San Antonio, Cruz Martinez of Fort Worth and Carlos Martinez of Fort Stockton; and three sisters, Delfina Silvas of Plainview, Oralia Vengor of Sweetwater and Julia Cortez of Winters.
