Obituary

PETERSBURG - Funeral services for Jose S. Martinez, 82, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Primera Iglesia Bautista with Rev. Bernardino Hernandez officiating. Burial will be in the Petersburg Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. Mr. Martinez died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 19, 1919. He had lived in the Petersburg since the early 1970s, moving from Happy Union six years ago. He was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista and the Brotherhood at the church. A son is deceased.
