Obituary

HALE CENTER - Funeral Mass for Inocencio S. Martinez, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Theresa?s Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Pe?a officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the same church. Mr. Martinez died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at his residence. He was born Dec. 28, 1930, in San Benito. He lived in Illinois, where he worked for Unical Oil Co., from 1969 to November 1995 when he moved to Hale Center. He was a member of St. Theresa?s Catholic Church. On Nov. 11, 1995, he married Oralia M. Garcia in Rolling Meadows, Ill. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Maria Martinez of San Benito; two daughters and a son-in-law, Belinda Alvira of Hanover Park, Ill., and Rosalinda and Frank Eckert of Chandler, Ariz.; four brothers, Alejandro "Cuco", Alfoso and Reynaldo Martinez, all of San Benito, and Lorenzo of Hereford; four sisters, Lupe Esparza, Rosa Zapata, Margarita Martinez and Delores Alvarez, all of San Benito; two stepsons, Javier Guillen of White Sands, N.M. and Rene Guillen of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Jo Ann Verdin of Anderson, Ind.; six grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. His father, Hilario Martine, died April 23, 1976.
