Funeral services for the Rev. Francisco Javier Martinez, 69, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, at Iglesia Del Nazareno, 501 17th St., with the Rev. Guadalupe Moreno officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Martinez died Thursday, April 7, 2011, in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 3, 1941, in Reynosa, Mexico. He married Amada Mendoza on June 2, 1962, in Reynosa. He was pastor of Iglesia Del Nazareno Church in Plainview before moving to Oklahoma City in 1999. Survivors include his wife; one son, Gilbert Martinez and wife, Priscilla, of Lubbock; four daughters, Isabel Salazar and husband, Daniel, and Maricela Flores, all of Amarillo, and Concepcion Martinez and Maria Martinez, both of Oklahoma City; one sister, Maricela Martinez of Reynosa, Mexico; and one brother, Raul Martinez of Reynosa.
