Obituary

Memorial services for Doris Ann Martin, 55, of Lubbock will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in the Abernathy Church of Christ with E.E. McDonough officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy. Ms. Martin passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, in Lubbock. She was born Jan. 15, 1958, in Dimmitt to Odell and Vernie (Goheen) Martin. She was a longtime resident of Tulia and member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Martin, and father. She is survived by her mother, Vernie Martin of Abernathy; sister, Donna Patton of Abernathy; brother, Danny Wayne Martin of Wilson, Texas; three nephews and one niece, as well as aunts and uncles.
