Obituary

Funeral services for Weston Ross Mannin, 24, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, and Darren Foster of Sherman officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Mannin died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Aug. 24, 1977, in Plainview where he grew up. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1996 and attended Texas Tech University and South Plains College. He was self-employed by Mannin Construction and was a licensed landscape irrigator and licensed backflow tester. In addition, he had recently expanded into Plains Plate Glass and Mirror Company. Survivors include his parents, Galen and Kim Mannin of Plainview; one brother, Bryson Mannin of Plainview; his grandparents, Vick Mannin of Amarillo, Darvis and Midge Foster of Plainview and Fred Thurston of Watonga, Okla.; his great-grandparents, Jeane and Paul Wente; and aunts and uncles, Darren and Vanna Foster of Sherman, Nancy and Dennis Tucker of Charlotte, N.C., Pam and Keenan Williams of Plainview, Roland and Tonya Mannin and Summer Mannin, all of Amarillo; and 11 cousins. The family suggests memorials to the Scottish Rite Hospital or to the Ronald McDonald House.
