Obituary

Elvira Maldonado, 54, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Lemons Memorial Chapel, and Pastor Hermilo Perez will officiate. The funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Plainview Cemetery. Open visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, with a prayer service beginning at 6 p.m. in the chapel.
Elvira Molina Maldonado was born on June 18, 1959, in Idalou, Texas, to Felix and Genobeba (Perez) Molina. She grew up in Texas and Oklahoma and graduated from Altus High School. Elvira greatly enjoyed knitting, spending time with her family and baking. She made delicious birthday cakes for her family. She also loved to read and take pictures. She was a member of Templo Casa De Oracion and also taught Sunday school there. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Elvira is survived by her mother, Genobeba Gamez; her children, Jeffrey Molina and Monik Molina; her grandchildren, Jonathan Jordan Lopez, Braelon Lee Lopez, and Harley Nicole Enriques, all of Plainview; her brothers, Randy Molina and Andy Molina, both of Altus, Okla.; her sisters: Mary Molina of Plainview, Josie Landeros and her husband, Paul, of Lubbock, and Tiffany Ramsey of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Soto Molina.
