Obituary

Mrs. Madkins died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at her residence in Plainview.

She was born Nov. 18, 1907, the daughter of Pete and Lizzie Jones, in Athens, Ala. She moved to Plainview in 1935 and was a housekeeper for the late Knox and Bertha Crews for 70 years.

She was a member of Beard Chapel and the Order of Calanthe.

In 1963, she married Johnny Madkins in Plainview. He died July 7, 1983.

Survivors include her caregiver, Brenda Moser of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nephews, nieces.
