Obituary

Funeral services for Lupe Maciel, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Maciel died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at her residence. She was born May 2, 1926, in Yorktown to Louis and Manuela Salazar. She married Guadalupe Maciel in 1947 in Karnes City. He died in December of 1970. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Joe Maciel and Guadalupe Maciel Jr., both of Plainview, and Tony Maciel of Silverton; six daughters, Juana Munoz of Denton, Adela Reyes, Dora Maciel, Elida Lopez, Josephine Maciel and Sylvia Maciel, all of Plainview; one sister, Ramona Garcia of Yorktown; 32 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband and one daughter, Julianita Rodriguez, are deceased
