Obituary

Prayer services for Guadalupe Leal Macias, 58, of Abernathy will be at 7 p.m. today at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at White Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Tienda officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.

She died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001.

She was born May 23, 1943, in Whitsett and married Demetrio Macias in 1959 in Lubbock. She moved to Abernathy from Lubbock in 1965. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic Church in Lubbock.

A daughter, Elodia, died in August 1964.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Roy Gonzales of New Deal and Faustino and David Macias, both of Abernathy; three daughters, Sally Avila and Christina Ann Lopez, both of Abernathy, and Lola Macias of Lubbock; a brother, Juan Leal Jr. of Lubbock; eight sisters, Dominga Torres, Rosa Garcia, Janie Gutierrez, Donicia Moncibiaz, Adelaida Oyervidez, Teresa Leal and Rebecca Rodriguez, all of Lubbock, and Matilde Minjarez of Mesquite; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
