Obituary
Eunice Pyle Lynn, 92, of Plainview passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Mr. Johnny McDonald and Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Lynn was born Jan. 19, 1916, in Elmore City, Okla., to Esker and Rosie Pyle. She grew up and attended schools there. She married Argus Jefferson Lynn on Dec. 24, 1932, in Elmore City, Okla. He passed away on Dec. 31, 1985. They moved to Plainview in the 1940s. She worked for Plainview Independent School District as a cook at Estacado Junior High for several years. She was a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ. Her survivors include two daughters, LaGay James and husband, Jerry, of Plainview and Loretha Young and husband, Mearl, of Shawnee, Okla.; one sister, Bernice Mathis of Plainview; four grandchildren, Barb Hill, Gary Young, Jeff James and Dayna Hightower; six great-grandchildren, Stacy Wood, Jared James, Austin James, Lexy Hightower, Braxon Hightower and Keenan Hooper; and two great-great-grandchildren, Morgan Miller and Mason Wood. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
