Obituary

Funeral services for Jewel Lunsford, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Lunsford died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Lawton, Okla. She married James Lunsford on Dec. 24, 1930. They were longtime Baptist missionaries in Brazil. He died Dec. 17, 2000. She moved to Plainview in 1975 and was an active member of College Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Jane Tidwell of Lamesa and Maura Sanders of Arlington; two sons, James Alan Lunsford and James Edwin Lunsford, both of Plainview; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
