Obituary

Funeral Mass for Adelaida Luna, 60, formerly of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Luna died Saturday, July 15, 2006, in San Angelo. She was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Corpus Christi to Jose and Julia Huerta. She lived in Plainview most of her life and was owner of La Paloma Mexican Restaurant. She was a member of our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church were she was a singer. She moved to San Angelo in 1998. Survivors include her former husband, Pedro Luna of Plainview; one son, Peter Armendariz of Amarillo; four daughters, Rachel Garza and Maria Elena Corral, both of Amarillo, Hufemia Alvarado of San Angelo and Julie Luna of Plainview; one brother, Rene Huerta of San Angelo; four sisters, Paula Naranjo of Houston, Rachel Ybarra of Corsicana and Herminia Mireles and Josephina Alvarado, both of Arkansas; her stepmother, Marcelina Huerta of Plainview; 12 grandchildren, Arturo, Manuel, Isabel, Yvette, JR., Danny, David, Jorge, Ivan Jazmine, J.J., and Jazelle; and nine great-grandchildren.
