Obituary

Funeral Mass for Felipa G. Luna, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Rene Perez officiating. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by White Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in White Memorial Chapel in Idalou. Mrs. Luna died Monday, May 2, 2005, in Lubbock. She was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Corpus Christi, the daughter of Amador and Inez Rincon Gomez. She was a lifelong resident of Petersburg and Lorenzo. She was a homemaker and a member Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Cursillistas. On Oct. 14, 1951, she married Florentino Luna in Plainview. He died July 19, 2004. Survivors include a son, Jesus Luna of Petersburg, three daughters, Lupe Reyes of Lorenzo, Gloria Deleon and Marla Lydia Reyes, both of Petersburg; a brother, Frank Gomez of Plainview; two sisters, Maria Vargas and Josephina Hernandez, both of San Antonio; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Her parents and a brother, Ralph Gomez are deceased and a son, Juan Aguirre, died in July 1
