Obituary

Funeral Mass for Rodney Minjarez Luera, 39, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Bartley Memorial Chapel. Mr. Luera died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center Lubbock. He was born Nov. 27, 1966, in Plainview. He has lived in Plainview all his life. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1986 and from UTI in Houston. He also attended Wayland Baptist University. He worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Plainview and Tulia. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Mollie Minjarez Garcia of Plainview.
