Obituary

Funeral services for Arlene Lorenz, 81, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Gerald Boerger officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She died Monday, April 16, 2007, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo. She was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Richmond, Ind., to Charles and Helen Gibson. She married Albert Lorenz Feb. 3, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas. He died Nov. 9, 2005. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels. She sent quilts to Lutheran World Relief. She was a member of L.W.M.L. and St. Paul Lutheran Church. Survivors include three sons, David Lorenz with wife Carmen of Amarillo, Daniel Lorenz with wife Suzanne of Canyon and Benjamin Lorenz with wife Sue of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Alan Gibson of Coeur' D Alene, Ind.; one sister, Waneta Siems of Littlefield; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
