Obituary
Funeral services for Albert Otto Lorenz, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gerald Boerger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Lorenz died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at his residence. He was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Giddings. He married Arlene Gibson on Feb. 3, 1949, in Lubbock. After they married, they lived in Hockley County before moving to Hale County in 1963. He was a farmer and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and delivered Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carmen Lorenz of Amarillo, Daniel and Suzanne Lorenz of Plainview and Benjamin and Sue Lorenz of Winchester, Ky.; two brothers, Herman of Lubbock and Marvin of LaGrange; one sister, Gertrude Zoch of Austin; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Five brothers and three sisters are deceased.
