Funeral services for Manuelita S. Lopez, 78, of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, in Bartley Memorial Chapel with Minister Delfino Ruiz officiating, and Isreal Valdez assisting. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. She died on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Plainview. She was born on Dec. 7, 1934, in Floresville, Texas, to Juan and Josephine Sanchez. She is survived by one son, Edward Valdez and wife Carmen of Lindale, Texas; three daughters, Leonor Mejia and husband Juan of Balch Springs, Texas, Martha Garcia of Plainview, and Josie Garcia and husband Roy of Plainview; six sisters, Margarita Castaneda of Plainview, Juana Luna of Lockney, Josephine Rodriguez of Hollis, Okla., Maria Garzes of Hollis, Okla., Lupe Castillo of Monroe, La., and Romana Nunez of Plainview; two brothers, Rudy Sanchez of Altos, Okla., and Andrew Sanchez of Plainview; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
