Obituary

Funeral Mass for Fernando "Eddie" Lopez, 56, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at the church. Mr. Lopez died at 7:52 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. He was born May 23, 1948, in Eden and married Mary Ann Rodriguez on June 6, 1970, in Plainview. He was a longtime Plainview resident. He served in the U.S. Army including two years in Vietnam. He attended Wayland Baptist College and was a member of the Pan American Golf Association, Plainview Country Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, JoAnn Romero and Enedelia Lopez, both of Plainview; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Fernando Jr. and Josie Lopez of Princeton and Tomas Lopez of Dallas; six brothers, Ray of San Angelo, Armando of Ropesville, Arturo of Slaton, Oscar of Lubbock, Johnny of Amarillo and Paul II of Plainview; a sister, Linda Castro of Plainview; and six grandchildren. The body will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 4 p.m. today until service time. The family suggests memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2805 N. Columbia, Plainview, TX 79072.
