Obituary

Funeral services for Maria Lopez, 83, were at 2 p.m. today at Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonel Gonzalez officiating. Burial was at Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Lopez died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Prairie House Living Center. She was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Pleasanton to Aldolfo and Maria Susanna Casias. She married Edwardo G. Lopez in 1942 in Pleasanton. He died in September 1994. Survivors include three sons, Edward Lopez Jr. and Arturo Lopez, both of Austin, and Reynaldo Lopez of Lubbock; three daughters, Maggie Rendon of Crosbyton, Linda Lopez of Austin and Corinne Hinojosa of Plainview; two brothers, Juan Casias of Lubbock and Pedro Casias of Amarillo; one sister, Helen Orosco of Michigan; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
