Obituary

Funeral services for Chad Lopez, 20, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the New Life Assembly of God Church with Chris Craig of Harvest Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Lopez died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, in Hale Center. He was born Aug. 22, 1985, in Plainview to Rocky Gonzales and Juanita Vargas. He lived in Plainview most of his life and loved writing rap music lyrics, playing basketball and video games and sharing his Christianity with others. Survivors are his father Rocky Gonzales of Plainview; his mother and stepfather, Juanita and Gilbert Vargas; three brothers, A.J. Everett and Timothy Gonzales of Plainview and Justin Kyle Lopez of Canyon; two sisters, Lorie Gonzales and Kristie Gonzales of Plainview; his maternal grandfather, Willie Lopez of Plainview; a niece and a nephew.
