Obituary

Funeral services for Cleo Ellis Long, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Long died Monday, April 3, 2006, in Santa Fe House. She was born April 19, 1913, in Brown County to Henry Jefferson Ellis and Gertrude Veda Thompson Ellis. She married Jay C. Long on July 17, 1940, in Clovis, N.M. She worked for AT&T for many years and then Southwestern Bell. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
