Graveside services for Doris Ann Logan, 69, former Hale Center resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Plainview Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Gene Meacham, director of the Caprock-Plains Baptist Area Center and former pastor of First Baptist Church of Hale Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M. Miss Logan died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, in Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, N.M. She was born May 13, 1936, in Plainview, to J.C. and Othena Logan. She grew up in the Mayfield community and attended Hale Center schools. Her family was the center of her life, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a quilter and enjoyed handiwork. She was an active member of Mayfield Baptist Church until it was disbanded and she transferred her membership to First Baptist Church of Hale Center. She was a member of Sunday school and Woman's Missionary Union at both churches. Survivors include a brother, Jerry Logan of Hale Center; two sisters, Juanita Hardage of Texico, N.M., and Agnes Brock of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; and three sisters-in-law, Joy Logan of San Angelo, Judy Logan of Hale Center and Nicki Bruce Logan of Plainview. Her parents; two brothers, J.C. of San Angelo and Billy of Hale Center; one sister, Geraldene Elmore of Euless; one nephew, Larry Logan of San Angelo; and one niece, Patricia Elmore, are deceased.
