Funeral services for Billy Don Logan, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Carrol Green, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Logan died Sunday, May 1, 2005, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born July 21, 1938, in Hale Center, the son of J.C. and Othena Logan. He farmed most of his life and enjoyed woodworking and taking his grandchildren on vacations. He was a member of First Baptist Church. On Oct. 21, 1957, he married Judy Waller in Hale Center. Survivors include his wife; a son, Wesley Logan of Hale Center; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Terry Parkey of Lubbock and Kathy and Neal Barrett of Hale Center; a brother, Jerry Logan of Hale Center; three sisters, Juanita Hardage and Doris Logan, both of Texico, N.M., and Agnes Brock of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Joy Logan of San Angelo and Nicki Logan of Plainview; and four grandchildren. His parents; a brother, Jack Logan; a sister, Geraldine Elmore; and a nephew, Larry Logan, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to the Kidney Foundation. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home.
