Obituary
A celebration of life for Dorothy Tanner Loden, 83, of Redding Calif., was held May 21, the day she died at her residence while under hospice care. Her cremains will be interred in Plainview Memorial Park beside her mother at a later date. Mrs. Loden was born June 1, 1921, in Athens, Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Tanner. When she was 18, her mother died and she helped raise her younger brother and sisters. After attending Lippert's Business College in Plainview in the 1940s, she moved with her family to California and worked in the Gas Rationing Office during World War II. She married Cleo Loden on July 17, 1947. Survivors include her husband; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and David Bogener of Redding and Elizabeth and Terry Walters of Mt. Airy, Md.; a brother, Bruce Tanner of McMinnville, Ore.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruby Ogletree and Pat and Dell Brown of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
