Obituary

Albert Lee Lockhart, 72, passed away Nov. 21, 2004, in Legend of the Plains Nursing Center at Hale Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. He was born June 4, 1932, at Decatur, Texas, and moved to Plainview in 1933 where he grew up and attended Plainview schools. He enlisted in the Navy in 1950 and spent 20 years serving his country plus 10 years in the Navy Reserve. After retirement from the Navy he lived in the Los Angeles area until returning to Plainview in 1990. He is survived by one brother, Daniel Lockhart of Plainview; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Owen Rowell of Hale Center; and several nieces and nephews who loved him very much. His parents, Willie K. and Cindy Mury Bell Thacker Lockhart, three brothers and one sister are deceased.
