Funeral Mass for Viola "Pee Wee" Leal, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church of Hale Center. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the church. Mrs. Leal died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Lakeside Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born April 9, 1935, in Nogales, Ariz. She married Guadalupe Espinosa in 1950. He died May 23, 1973. She moved to Hale Center in 1950. She then married Abelino Leal on June 4, 1974, in Clovis, N.M. She worked at Dyer Drug, Owl Cafe, Hale Center Senior Citizens and the Nu Griddle in Plainview. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church of Hale Center. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lupe Espinosa of Seattle; Ralph Espinosa of Amarillo and John Espinosa of Fort Worth; two daughters, Sylvia Rodriguez of Sunray and Sandra Grona of Kyle; two sisters, Katy Skinner of Clovis, Calif., and Estella Maldonado of Austin; 15 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
