Obituary

Ralene Leach, 82, Plainview, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Dec. 27, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Plainview Memorial Park with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
She passed away on the same date she was married to Paul Leach in 1951. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage prior to his death in 2007.
Ralene was born July 29, 1931, in Jefferson, Texas. She spent most of her childhood in Dallas. After her marriage to Paul, they moved to the family farm near Plainview, and that is where she lived until her death.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, and she enjoyed time spent with the Exodus Ministries and literacy program. She had a passion for reading, gardening, and traveling with friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Ramona Leach of Dallas and Rebecca Leach of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Jessica Byrd and husband Jonathan of Mesa, Ariz., and Tanner Paul Estes of Austin; four great grandchildren, Olivia, Aiden, Emma and Elise Byrd; and one brother-in-law, Joe Leach and his family.
