Funeral services for Melinda Ann Larson, 53, of Elgin, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainview with the Rev. Bruce Green, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Larson died Friday, June 2, 2006, at her residence. She was born Aug. 25, 1952, in Lubbock. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1970 and attended Texas Tech University for three years. She continued her education at the University of Utah and graduated in 1975 with a B.A. in fine arts. She lived in the Austin area since 1975. She owned an exotic animal ranch since 1990. She was known for her artistic talents in painting and pottery. Survivors include one son, Larson Lee Hampton of Lubbock; her parents, Walter F. and Sharon Larson of Plainview; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sara Larson of Elgin, Loretta and Jim Haynes of Hobbs, N.M., and Alice and Lloyd Kofahl of Dallas; and an aunt, Sally Hale of Lubbock. Her grandparents, Alice and Deb Turner and Anita and Walter W. Larson, and great-grandparents, Sara and B.F. Jarvis, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch, P.O.
