Obituary

Funeral Mass for Adelicia Lara, 63, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Lara died Monday, May 5, 2008, at her residence. She was born March 17, 1945, in Falfurrias to Abel and Paula Mireles. She lived in Plainview the past five years, moving from Ennis. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Ennis. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jake and Sylvia Martinez of Bryan and Dave Lara of San Antonio; three daughters, Diana Saenz of San Antonio and Melissa Sosa and Kim Rodriguez, both of Fort Worth; five brothers, Anastacio Mireles of Plainview, Abel Mireles of Dallas, Augustin Mireles of Austin and Abundio Mireles and Adrian Mireles, both of Falfurrias; five sisters, Leonor Braswell of Corpus Christi, Alida Cardona and Adelina Perlales, both of Plainview, Armandina Soliz of Garland and Ana Garcia of Falfurrias; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her parents are deceased.
