Grandpa Landers, 94 Years Old, Takes Life with Winchester Rifle"

"Grandpa" Landers shot himself yesterday about 5 o'clock with a 44(?) caliber Winchester rifle, He was sitting in his chair. The old man had lived ninetyfour years; he was partially blind, but was otherwise hale, according to A.A. Hatchell.
"Grandpa" Landers was living with his son J.T. Lnaders in the south part of Hale County. He came here about ten years ago, a pioneer from Stephens County. Four sons and three daughters mourn their father's death. -- Hale County Herald, June 17, 1913
