Obituary

Funeral services for Jose "Enrique" Landa, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mr. Landa died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at his residence in Edmonson. He was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Mesquitic Jalisco, Mexico to Pablo and Concepcion Landa. He married Jovita Ochoa on Jan. 21, 1956, in Mesquitic Jalisco. Survivors include his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Valente Chavez Jr., of Tyler; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Debbie Landa of Snyder; three brothers, Isauro Landa and Juan Landa, both of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Jose "Pepe" Landa of Tabasco, Mexico; two sisters, Teresa Reyes and Rosaura Robershaw, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; and four grandchildren.
