Obituary

Funeral Mass for Rosita "Rosie" LaFuente, 58, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mrs. LaFuente died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Plainview Healthcare Center. She was born Aug. 28, 1951, in Mission to Pedro and Tomasita Seca Sr. After graduating from Plainview High School in 1972, she pursued a career in cosmetology, which lasted for more than 38 years. She worked for many of the salons in the area and was working for Smart Style before becoming ill. On Feb. 26, 1977, she married Johnny LaFuente in Plainview. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosita is survived by her husband; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ruben and Carrie LaFuente and Rudy LaFuente, all of Plainview; one daughter and son-in-law, Marivel and Emilio Vuittonet III of Wolfforth; two brothers, Angel Seca of Eagle Pass and Pete Seca Jr. of Plainview; three sisters, Maria Hernandez of Mexico, Carlota Gonzalez of Plain?view and Natalia Bela of Lubbock; and three grandchildren, Monique, Dominque and Isaiah Vuittonet. Her parents and one son, John Anthony LaFuente, are deceased.
