Funeral services for Jeanne Patton Kunz, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church Chapel with DR. Max Browning, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood- Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kunz died at 12:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, in Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

She was born June 28, 1918 in St. Louis, Mo. She graduated from University City, Mo. High School in 1936 and from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1940.

She taught school in Missouri and after moving to Texas, in El Paso and the lower Valley region. She moved to Plainview in 1959 from Abilene and taught at Highland Elementary. She also had lived in San Angelo.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Wesley Bible Class, was a past secretary of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, past president of Coronado Study Club and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

On May 14, 1944, she married Jack Reed Kunz in St. Louis, Mo. He died Feb. 19, 1996.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barby and Randy Hodges of Houston and Mary Anne and Eddie Sides of Abilene; four grandsons, Mark Hodges of Round Rock, D.C., and Patton Sides of Austin; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Chapman of Chesterfield, Mo.

The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church Davine Servant Fund, Plainview Meals on Wheels, Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene or to a favorite charity.
