Obituary

Funeral services for Ernest Ray Kovar, 46, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Malcolm, a minister in Weatherford, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Mr. Kovar died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 in Lubbock. He was born April 29, 1955, in Plainview. He worked at B&K Body Shop in Plainview and Hub City Body Works in Lubbock for the last year. He also had worked at Hastey Construction in Plainview. He was a Baptist. On July 19, 1985, he married Elizabeth Marsh in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ernest Lee Kovar of Plainview and Tarrance Ray Kovar of Lubbock; a stepdaughter, Amy Lynn Gibson of Doyline, La.; a stepson, George Quincy Gann of Doyline, La.; a brother, Gary Kovar of Plainview; two sisters, Shirley Scarber of Hobbs, N.M., and Gwendolyn Wall of Oklahoma.
