Obituary

Alpha Elanore Mattheus King, 90, of Silverton died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007. Graveside services were Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at 4 p.m. in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview with Colquitt Nash officiating. Services were under the direction of Myers-Chancellor Funeral Home of Silverton. Mrs. King was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Whitney, Texas, to Harvey and Elanore Newberry. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Mattheus, in 1972. She is survived by her husband, Glenn King of Silverton; one daughter, Lottie Boedeker of Plainview; three sons, Tim Mattheus of Silverton, Ray Mattheus of Little Rock, Ark., and Delbert Mattheus of Salado, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
