Obituary

Graveside services for Lois King, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. King died Thursday, June 5, 2008. She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Shirley to Robert and Lora Smith. She was a longtime resident of the Plainview area until moving to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 2003. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. Survivors include one son, Gene King of Eustace; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and John Morse of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; two sisters, both of Sulphur Springs; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband, Carl King, is deceased.
