Obituary

Funeral services for Barney Maurice King, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. King died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Plainview Healthcare Center. He was born July 30, 1912, in Lockney, where he grew up and attended school. Mr. King was an independent trucker for 50 years. He married Lola Belle Stanley on Jan. 7, 1937. She died in 1989. Survivors include three sons, Dean King of Lubbock, Paul King of Plainview and Jack King of San Antonio; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two sons, Nolan Lee and Barney Joe King, are deceased
